My Involvement: Front-End Development, HTML5 Animation, JavaScript/jQuery
Project Manager: Erin Dolhi
Designer: Bob Rusnak
Front-End: Kyle Zielinksy
This site is a micro-site that promotes Wise Snacks product CheezDoodles in a fun and interactive way. Sound was added at a later time by a different vendor.
It was built with a combination of effort between me and Kyle Zielinsky. Kyle created a smooth javascript function that smoothly animates sequences of PNG images that turn on and off as you scroll down the page. Bob Rusnak (digital designer), created all of the animations and exported them to PNG sequences that were compressed and animated with javascript.
There are several different sections that you can interact with that show different facts, products, or give you information on the different members of "The Dudes", which are click-controlled using javascript. The navigation follows you down the screen as you scroll down so you can easily navigate.
Further down the page, I build the Doodle Pad first using HTML5 and then also built it using Flash so it would be compatible with older Internet Explorer versions. I also built the controls that drops CheezDoodles when you hit the "C" button the on keyboard (a little Easter-egg animation plays if you are at the very bottom of the page).
Kyle was a huge help with optimizing this site so it was able to play in many browsers without overloading and crashing the browser. The amount of JavaScript on this one-page website was a heavy load on browsers early on, but with his help, it can run easily without overloading the page.
There are fun little animations and activities throughout this page and it was a huge learning experience for me. This was probably one of the most fun projects I have had the good luck to work on.
